“Dr. Foster has written a very informative book on how to prioritize God, marriage, family and entrepreneurship, God’s way! As someone who has been in my own home-based business for 14 years, and home schooled for 5 years at the same time, I sincerely hope that her book helps more people find their own path to making work and family mutually supportive.”

“Dr. Foster has carefully penned her debut book – For Love and Money: Seven Guidelines for Achieving Success in Your Home and Business – and it is timely and will surely help us to prioritize family and business. This wonderful is systematically divided into seven simple and attainable principles with God as the primary focus. For example, Dr. Foster acknowledges that seven is God’s perfect number in the book’s introduction. Further, Principle One is Have a Conversation with God, instructing us to maintain priorities in pursuit of our entrepreneurial dreams. Scripturally supported throughout, Dr. Foster’s principles, formulas and pointers, when applied, help us to achieve our business goals while successfully balancing our personal and family responsibilities. A recommended read!”
“As an author, entrepreneur, wife and mother, I found For Love and Money to be an excellent guide on how to do it all! The Biblical references on how to recognize your passion, purpose and vision were right on target as were as were the simple family suggestions such as “cuddle time”. Dr. Foster’s book is a must-read for fledgling and seasoned entrepreneurs.”

“The foundation of our great society is our families. However, all too often we allow our pursuit of success/money to get in the way. Dr. Foster says ‘A lot of Dads have been replaced with child support checks and moms have been replaced by fast-food restaurants and babysitters.’ It is OK to seek fortune, but don’t forget about God and your family. Dr. Foster captures the delicate balance between God, family and money in her new book entitled For Love and Money: Seven Guidelines for Achieving Success in Your Home and Business. Read it and follow her principles/guidelines and you will increase your chances of success. Remember what Booker T. Washington said, ‘Success is to be measure not so much by the position one has reached in life as by the obstacles he has overcome.’”

“The Detroit Area Pre College Engineering Program (DAPCEP) offers out of school time programming to help Detroit Area Students develop the motivation and awareness of skills necessary for academic achievement and successful careers in Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics fields. We were honored to have Dr. Bellandra Foster serve as the keynote speaker for our Spring Open House and Program Registration event, held February 6, 2010 at COBO Exhibition Hall. Dr. Foster’s presentation and words were very inspiring for our parents and students population. Her connection between engineering and athletics was warmly received by our audience. As an educational organization, DAPCEP was delighted to hear Dr. Foster describe the role of the parent in supporting their children academically, in addition to her outline of the mental preparation needed for college bound students. Our audience truly enjoyed her speech and visual presentation. April Johnson, a high school junior, shared, “Wow! She was awesome! It’s great to know that there are women out there with their own businesses in the fields of engineering. I want to be a trailblazer like her.” Many of the parents of our female students were excited to see an African American woman as a speaker. “Dr. Foster is an excellent example of success and it is very refreshing to see someone from our local community succeed. She not only has a Masters, but a Ph.D. AND her own firm! She is sharp! “, said a parent of three children, all of whom attend DAPCEP programs. Dr. Bellandra Foster shared an informational speech that motivated both the parents and students in our audience. We are very pleased that she was able to participate in our open house and recommend her for future speaking engagements.”
Jason Lee, Executive Director, DAPCEP
“It is with great pleasure that I am writing this letter of recommendation for Dr. Bellandra B. Foster. On February 17, 2010, Dr. Foster attended our “Night with Industry” Banquet as our Keynote Speaker. While we were excited to have her participate in this event as a fellow engineer, an alumna and an experienced, successful professional, it was her address and presentation that blew us away and exceeded our expectations! Dr. Foster is a dynamic, enthusiastic, and inspirational speaker. From the very moment she began to speak it was clear to everyone that she is passionate about seeing students reach and fulfill their maximum potential. Her words were energetic and the imagery she used relating bridges to her academic, personal and professional experiences and to the experiences of those listening was brilliant. Dr. Foster was able to connect with the entire audience: students, staff, faculty and our corporate partners. Her poise and delivery conveyed confidence in her ability to succeed in her chosen profession and her goal to empower those in attendance to do the same. Her speech was a perfect fit for the activities that evening and was well received by everyone.
I would highly recommend Dr. Bellandra B. Foster as a speaker or facilitator for your event, activity or program! I am extremely confident that, as she did that evening, she will exceed your expectations and make an important and lasting connection with you and your group as well. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.”
